Youthprise strives to increase equity with and for Minnesota’s indigenous, low-income, and racially diverse youth. Founded in 2010 by The McKnight Foundation, Youthprise invests in the future of Minnesota by investing in youth. It works to shift the trajectory for underserved young people. Guided by a strengths-based approach, Youthprise works to transform how funders, institutions, providers, and communities work with youth. Youthprise operates on multiple levels: supporting nonprofit organizations that serve youth, aligning efforts through citywide and statewide initiatives, and providing opportunities directly to young people.
Venn Foundation is a nonprofit public charity on a mission to unleash the full power of program-related investments (PRIs) to achieve charitable impact. Its vision is to create an entirely new category of flexible, below-market investment capital that can be directed creatively to projects and organizations across all sectors that are helping advance charitable goals. By opening a special donor-advised fund called a Venn Account, any individual or entity can recommend that their charitable donations be used by Venn to make PRIs. Venn can syndicate any one PRI among any combination of Venn Accounts. Financial returns from these PRIs go back to participating Venn Accounts for donors to recommend redeployment into new PRIs or as grants to nonprofits.
