Erin Martin
Erin Martin is the Director of Minnesota Afterschool Advance. Erin helps drive the strategic direction and growth of MAA. Erin has worked in youth development for more than a decade. She has an MBA, Masters of Social Work with a focus on multi-cultural macro practice, and a masters level certificate in human services management from Augsburg University. She is also a licensed social worker. Outside of work, Erin enjoys attending MN soccer games, exploring the Twin Cities on her bike, camping, and trying new recipes.
Janelle Hosfield
Janelle Hosfield is a Community Navigator with Minnesota Afterschool Advance. As a Community Navigator, Janelle supports families as they access funding to help pay for out-of-school time enrichment activities. Janelle has her Masters in Social Work from the University of IL-Chicago, and has experience working with youth and families in a variety of settings. One of her greatest joys in life is being a mom to her foster and adopted children. Janelle enjoys yoga fitness classes, cooking and tasting new foods, and trying not to be confused with her identical twin sister!
Shamim Yarrow
Shamim Yarrow is a Community Navigator with Minnesota Afterschool Advance. Shamim graduated with a degree in International Business Administration with a major in marketing. She has a passion for working with people in the community that developed while she worked for a locally owned pharmacy. Having the ability to speak Somali, English and Swahili, she helps with translations with all three languages. Outside of work, Shamim enjoys painting and expressing herself through art.
Lisa Lennex-Sagbo is the MAA Community Navigator- Tax Specialist. As an MAA Community Navigator, Lisa will serve as the first point of contact for families seeking help with a variety of program needs. She also serves as the go-to for an questions related to the K-12 Education Tax Credit. She has over 10 years experience as a support specialist and enjoys helping others. Outside of work, Lisa loves to travel and spend time with her family.
Maya Warsame is a Community Navigator and works with families and providers as they navigate the process to utilize tax credit funds to pay for after school enrichment activities. Maya is an educator activist and is passionate about supporting the creation of liberatory spaces for youth to thrive. In addition to her work with MAA, she is also a partner at the Wildflower Foundation where she supports teachers of color in opening their own teacher led micro Montessori schools. She has her Master's in Education with a Montessori focus from St. Catherine's University. In her spare time she loves to cook and bake. When the weather is nice, you will likely find her out with her family hiking and exploring state and national parks.
