Activity Description

This course gives the intermediate to advanced trumpet student, performer, and pedagogue the opportunity to play and discuss trumpet all day and every day for a week with Robert Baca. All attributes needed to build musicality and "chops" will be discussed along with performance applications for orchestra, concert band, and jazz ensemble. Camp content will include private lessons, group study, and trumpet ensemble performance. Emphasis will be placed on fixing challenges faced by all participants. This course is an excellent opportunity for pedagogues who do not play the trumpet to observe solutions given for the many trumpet challenges students face. This camp provides multiple practical and motivational ideas that students can take back to their schools!
